Description: | From Woodbury Reggae Festival Website: Yes. Woodbury most famous for Roots, Rock and Reggae! Over the years artists have paid homage to the majestic hills of Woodbury, some of these include Steel Pulse, Jimmy Cliff, Third World, Lucky Dube, Phish, Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors, Big Mountain, Burning Spear, Majek Fashek, Alpha Blonde, Culture...just to name a few.
Woodbury is unique- it is a natural outdoor amphitheater located in the hills of Litchfield County, Connecticut. Concert goers can camp, bring coolers, visit vendors, swim, and enjoy a hot summer afternoon while seeing a popular artist.
Every year, for forty years, Connecticut has been jammin' to the sounds of love, respect, honor, peace, and the story of the downtrodden survivor. The tradition of bringing reggae music to the stage has always been to bring people together for a weekend of peace and brotherly love. This year will be no different and in fact much improved as this year in light of the National attention to victims of gun violence, we will be putting a dollar from every ticket sale to The Den, a charity who offers counseling to victims of gun violence right here in Connecticut.
Summer Tubing, Zorbing and the Zip line park will be open with regular admission the weekend of the festival.
