For many years, the Greater Danbury Irish Festival has brought traditional Irish culture to the area through music, art, food and dance. It has been a vehicle to raise funds to open a cultural center focusing on all this Irish in our community.
For three days, attendees will enjoy the sights, smells and sounds of Ireland as the GDICC welcomes artists and musicians to the festival.
Children and families will enjoy special activities such as sand art, face painting and arts and crafts. Young adults and foodies will sample traditional Irish fare from the Emerald Isle such as Guinness and Harp beers and of course good old corned beef and cabbage. Toes will be tapping and fingers will be snapping as people of all ages embrace all things Irish during this fun-filled weekend.
