| Description: | Plan a weekend in the historic villages of Salisbury and Lakeville CT and enjoy a wide variety of special events and activities. Wander along Main Street to find attic treasures, home-made baked goods, and previously-loved books and jewelry. Admire the beautiful Quilt Show. Visit the many outdoor booths and stop in the local stores for special sales. See exhibits in the art galleries and the Historical Society. Look for local artisans selling hand-crafted jewelry, pottery, textiles, leather goods, and more. Listen to live music. Enjoy a pancake breakfast, hot dogs, chili and cornbread, baked potatoes with toppings, and mac 'n cheese--along with delicious apples, popcorn and fresh cider. Children will love the pumpkin decorating, face painting, crafts, games, and old-fashioned hayrides. Later in the evening, enjoy lobsters or a delicious roast beef dinner, followed by a concert. Or stop in for a drink or meal at one of the local inns. End the weekend at the Beer Fest at the ski jumps with gorgeous views of the Litchfield Hills and Berkshire Mountains.
