| Description: | From 44th Annual Strawberry Festival Website: The United Church of Christ, Southbury invites strawberry lovers every year to its annual Strawberry Festival , an event celebrating the beginning of summer, in June. More than 500 people visit the Church Green to enjoy delicious homemade strawberry desserts, grilled food, children's activities, a bouncy-house, plant sale, live music, and local vendors. Last year, nearly half a ton of strawberries were used in the festival's famous shortcakes! Competition is always fierce in the annual strawberry pie bake-off competition!
